  1. On April 15, 2010 at the Thompson Center, 100 West Randolph down town Chicago,Illinois. The Executive Clemency hearing before the Prisoner Review Board was held in regards to Jarmain innocence. We had a great support team who attended the hearing. The people who attended the hearing was lead by Jarmain's Attorney Anne Zellner and her assistant. The Public Defender Julie Harmon, his aunt Bernice Marshall and his brother John Merritt. Who all spoke on Jarmain's behalf. Other family member that attended was his mother Dorothy Merritt, father Frank Burnett, his 13 year old daughter, an aunt and unlce from Arkansas,a host cousins and freinds. Professor Jane Riley from Northwestern University School Of Law, Wrongful Conviction also attended who is still working on proving Jarmain actual innocence. We strongly beleive in Jarmain innocence and hope that this will soon comes to an end.
"I think 13 years is long enough to have been lock up for something that you didn't do."
We are praying that Governor Pat Quinn grant clemency for immediate release!
    We will see you soon.
    Your, Auntie Bernice
